Legacy Society

Donors make a difference by impacting the work and mission of Samford University with their support.

Founded in 1841, Samford University embraces its rich history. The 1841 Society honors that tradition by recognizing donors who make such a lasting commitment through a planned gift.

Planned gift options include:

  • Bequest in your will benefitting our organization
  • Naming Samford University as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy, IRA or other investment
  • Charitable Remainder Trust, Unitrust, Annuity Trust or a Living Trust

Members of our society are listed in our collaterals (except where anonymity is requested) and presented with a signed certificate. We also extend invitations to events and programs.
